The best time of year to go to San Martin de Los Andes depends completely upon what you plan to do. Skiers and other winter sport lovers will of course find it best to go when the temperatures are coldest, in June and July. Buses travel to San Martin de Los Andes from every major city in Argentina. Buses are cheap and schedules are generally convenient. There are several classes and several companies that make the trip, so look around for the options that fit your budget. If time is a big issue, flights are also available to Chapelco Airport, a short distance from the city.
