The old City is surrounded by a wall and has different gates where one can access. It is perfectly safe and has some places you should not miss .a city for all... Judaism Christianity and Islam.
The western wall, otherwise known as "Kotel". There is a separate entry for Men and Woman. Beware females; you need to cover your legs and shoulders to get in. Usually if you come with a guide, they will stop you on the way to buy something. But don't make the mistake of coming alone with bare legs or shoulders, some religious dudes spit worst then Mediterranean Camels.

Here u can see Jews and Arabs living 2gether in harmony observing religious each one on his own believe. The old city is a spectacular place, visit the 4 quarters and joins the Via Dolorosa The way that Jesus was taken, bearing his cross on his back to the place of his crucifixion.
Visit the Mount of Olives. Enter the Old City at the Lion's Gate, write a letter 2 god and stick it in the kotel's wall. Explore the tunnels under the wall. Walk down the "machne yehuda" market and try one of the best humus at the Arab quarter.
"Yad vashem" is the holocaust memorial museum. U can spend the all day here learning more about the " shoha" browsing archives, a research institute, library, publishing house and an educational center, The International School for Holocaust Studies. Non-Jews who saved Jews during the Holocaust, at personal risk, are honored by Yad Vashem as "Righteous among the Nations."
