It depends whhteer or not the $ 2500 includes airfare.I saw in one of your other questions that you live on the west coast US. This means a flight will likely cost you around $ 1000 (minimum $ 800). If that has to be taken out of the $ 2500, it leaves you with $ 1500 (€995). That's €33/per day.A cheap hostel costs around €20/night for a bunk in a shared room. At that price in major western European cities, you may end up either far from the city center (which means more expenses travelling into town) or with cold showers and bedbugs. The only cheaper option is to couchsurf (which is very difficult to plan out for a trip that long) or to sleep outside (which isn't really an option). That leaves €13/day for food. While it's possible to eat on that if you stick to really basic food from a grocery store, it leaves you with nothing at all for travel between cities, attractions, going out, etc.Eurorail isn't an option with that budget. The passes are expensive, and don't cover costs for train reservations (required in some countries) or overnight trains. If the $ 2500 is in addition to airfare, you can make it about 3 weeks if you budget very carefully. We had about 140 participants, ilnundicg several people over 40, and a LOT of media. Not much happens in Portugal, so anything like this is nothing less than a media event. We traveled downtown, did the mission and got some nice reactions. Then the media left along with some agents but the rest (still about 100) wouldn't budge. So we ended up doing it again, this time uptown and with no flashes. It was a blast we got a lot more funny, subtle reactions. Most people here seem to think we're shooting a soap opera, or doing publicity for something . (If no one ends up knowing what it is, it must be pretty poor publicity.)Last year a woman thought we were advertising the Subway heating system. We were supposed to be showing everyone that if we can travel pants-less and not be cold, it must be good (today we had about 5baC, along with rain). This year we had our very own Gay Couple, like IE had on their first No Pants 9 years ago! But they were friendly, albeit loudly incredulous. It was a lot of fun, but I long for more thought out missions without press.
