A Little Paradise Called Canoa Quebrada on 07/04/10

canoa-quebrada Situated just below the equator, is a near perfect stretch of Brazilian coastline that experiences no winter, and for that matter no bad weather. Offering nearly 365 days of stunning blue skies, this little Brazilian paradise is called Canoa Quebrada. This quaint fishing village is set just 175 km from the city of Fortaleza and provides its lucky guests with stunning landscapes including sand-dune beaches, red clay cliffs, and refreshingly calms turquoise ocean waters.

While basking in paradise visitors can entertain themselves by riding horseback along the beach, sailing and fishing in a native jangada boat, kite surfing, sand dune exploring or simply enjoying a stroll along its beautiful beaches or through town. After a full day of adventure and activity, head over to one of the beachside sand dunes and watch one of the world's most impressive sunsets, that has been claimed to bring about marriage to the lovers who witness its beauty.

After sunset Canoa Quebrada takes on a whole other persona, offering delicious cuisine and vivacious bars. A seafood lovers paradise, Canoa Quebrada promises tempting dishes including fresh oysters, shrimp, fish and lobster. If seafood is not your favorite, have no fear; the town also has a great variety of international cuisine from Chinese to French and Italian. While in town make sure not to miss Natural Bistro and Costa Brava for some delicious dining.

After dinner, head out to a bar or nightclub on the main street Broadway and enjoy some traditional Caipirinhas. Make sure to head over to Todo Mundo for some cocktails and dancing. Another popular bar/restaurant in the area is called Lazy Days, which sits right on the main beach and open both during the day and at night.

Whatever your reason for stopping in Canoa Quebrada there is no doubt you will have an amazing time.
