Recoleta on Saturdays and Sundays 2008/10/08 11:21
Hey everyone. I want to recomend something nice to do if your bored on Saturday or Sunday afternoon in Buenos Aires. You can go to Recoleta to see the cemetery (if you're into dead people and stuff) but the better thing to do is check out the great flea market just outside the cemetery. They have it all there... Next, you can go across the street to the "Village" which is like a small shopping mall that has cinema and a great sports bar that called "Locos por el futbol". They have a lot of big screens showing football mathes live. It's always full with nice football fans that get together, watch some football and drink a few drinks... Check it out.

I'll second this one, it's a good alternative to the crafts and antiques fair in San Telmo if you want a more hippie vibe. There are always acrobats and slack line walkers hanging out here, so it makes for great people watching. I even grabbed a tie-dye shirt for a cool 8 pesos! Definitely worth a look if you've got a weekend day to burn.

For a fair of a different sort check out Mercado de las Pulgas in Palermo Hollywood. It has cool furniture, TRUE antiques and no less than a million cool things to riffle through. Cabrera y Dorrego!
