Vegetarians in BA 2008/10/03 08:09 Karma: 0
Hey all!
I´m looking to get some reviews on some good vegetarian grub in Buenos Aires. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
We all could use a break from the meat at some point, right!

hola maria!

There are not too many vegetarian restaurants that also serve up good food- but some I have found have turned out to be my favorite restaurants!

1. Spring- Serrano between Paraguay and Charcas, buffet style (meaning all you can eat) all vegetarian with lots of options, pretty delicious

2. Prana- corner of El Salvador and Uriarte, sandwiches, salads and tartas all natural and delicious, with a yoga studio attached you could eat some veggies then do some yoga!

These two are the ones I highly recommend- so try them out... anyone with other suggestions i'd love to know, because i too cant handle the meat all the time!

Good lukc maria

Its true, for vegetarians there is less than viable options for food.

Several of the upscale restaurants in palermo hollywood have nice veggie options but for a good snack I love to check out PURAVIDA. They have hummus wraps, and great smoothies with mostly veggie options. There is one on Uriburu and French in Recoleta. They also deliver!

I also like Mark's Deli which has some nice vegetarian salads: located on El Salvador y Armenia in Palermo Soho. Order the limondad too! Simply tasty!!

On the topic of restaurants in general, if you're looking for a certain type of cuisine or restaurant there are two great sites I use:

http://www.guiaoleo.com.ar/

http://www.saltshaker.net/

Guia is in Spanish but has tons of great restaurant reviews, and if you're an English-speaking tourist Salt Shaker has you covered. They're how I find most of my places to try!

Suerte, Evan
