hi guys!
Im planning on taking a trip to Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador sometime in Oct or Nov. I was wondering how much time will i need to travel through these countries? I'm planning to see all of them in about 1.5 months. Is this enough? Which country would be the best to start my trip off? should i take trans and buses from country to country or fly. I wont have a huge budget so i really dont know how to begin.

The thing is, you could spend a month and a half alone in Ecuador, easily, and not see everything, and thats a tiny country. But if that is all the time you have, then you must. Flying by plane in-between countries is expensive in South America, so I would recommend buses - of course, then you have to add on travel times. Your best bet would be to take overnight buses - that way you don't have to pay for a hostel that night plus you lose less time you could be using to see things. People say they are dangerous, but the main problem is theft - you arent going to get knifed - I am a young blonde girl and I never felt unsafe on overnight buses in Ecuador - just dont be an idiot, loop your backpack around your foot, and keep your passport and money close to your body.
