When you arrive to the Bus Terminal of Punta del Este, you take the "micro" to La Barra, as soon as you cross the bridge, you get down at Parada 40. Across the avenue, you'll see a perpendicular road with a yellow Backpacker sign. take this road and just follow the signs. After 500m. you'll see the Backpacker at your left.
Coming from the East, once you pass by La Barra's gas station (Ancap), go straight ahead by Camino Urquiza (that goes to San Carlos' Zoo) 500m. and turn left one block and then right and you'll find us at your left, there are signs along the road so you'll find us easily.

Backpacker de La Barra is a big, spacious hostel with an excellent pool. The location is just outside Punta del Este, and only a few blocks to the beach. Enjoy five star hostel quality at prices even the backpacker budget can swing. Low on cash? Not to worry, they also accept credit cards.

rooms are big and the hostel in general is very clean. its a bit far away from the town, but we still loved the place and the relaxed atmosphere

i had an amazing time at this place! all of the people here are so cool. punta del este is incredible, but this hostel really made my trip great. suerte!
