  This place was AMAZING! The staff was remarkably helpful and spoke fluent English. The daily breakfast was delicious and very generous. They even made us a free welcome drink, and kept offering us lovely thoughtful gestures, very warm hosting. We had such a great time in Floripa and we are definitely coming back to Banana Beach next year!

  El Hostel me impresiono, nunca pense que iba a ser la atencion tan personalizada, la gente que trabaja ahi fue muy calida y preocupada de todo lo que necesitaba, en una oportunidad tuve problemas en comprar mis pasajes de vuelta y lo solucionaron inmediatamente. Manejan bastantes idiomas no tuve ningun problema con el castellano. Los servicios son abundantes el desayuno tenia frutas, granola, yogurt, queso, cafe etc. rico y sano y tienen muchas actividades para realizar, tablas de surf, bodyboard, paseos al morro, etc,. En una oportunidad me organizaron unas clases se surf, fue increible!!!!! todo muy creativo, hice unos paseos maravillosos con paisajes innolvidables. Las camas son comodas, todo muy limpio, hay internet y es seguro, hay gente las 24 horas cuidando y prestando servicios. Tienen camaras de seguridad, la terraza es muy confortable con una vista al mar increible, tienen mesas de pool, de todas maneras tengo que volver. Muchas gracias a todos los que participaron en darme un tiempo innolvidable.

  Fantastic location. Everything is new and clean. Friendly staff. Shower was hot everytime. A great alternative to backpackers, especially if you are looking for some private rooms. Great place overall.

  We stayed at Banana Beach on the recommendation of a couple we met who had just been there, who loved it. We had high expectations and unfortunately we ended up quite disappointed. We had booked a Žprivate doubleŽ on the website but Žstandard doubleŽ would be more accurate. Our room was on the ground floor right next to the only stairwell that led up to the bar so it was noisy. Because we were on a low level we also had no natural ventilation and there was mould ALL OVER the main wall in our room where our heads were supposed to be in the bed. We ended up lying with our heads up the other end instead. The fan only worked when the light was on so we had no ventilation at night either - not such a problem in the low season but could not imagine what it would be like in high season! The curtain in our room wasnŽt big enough for the window either.. All rooms (dorms as well) share a kitchenette with another room but ours had no actually cooker so we had to use another one when we wanted to cook. Otherwise, this Israeli-run place is quite nice, has a good view from the rooftop bar and the staff are quite helpful. Just a shame that we had such a bad room - we honestly felt like saying they shouldnŽt rent it out when we left..

  cool and apperently new hostel. nice staff, but often confusing... the cleaning in the rooms was really bad, the breakfast was the best ever! when they get everything togheter i think its gonna be really great! if u wanna relax this is not the place, the music is loud from the bar and from the street! its a partyplace with the best location in barra da lagoa!
