Step back in time at this 17th century colonial house that was remodeled and refurbished to unveil a delightful combination of colonial pageantry and contemporary conveniences. Built in 1960s when Spain still ruled the city, this charming edifice endures time and stands proud along with the rest of the architectural structures in the walled city embodying the period that made Cartagena a UNESCO World Heritage site.
An authentic epitome of the old-world Cartagena and an embodiment of modern luxury, Casa Maria exudes a distinct air of romance and sophistication. The peripheral edifice is only a surprise prelude to the elegance of the interior. Classical contemporary lines are evident in the lay out and furnishings of each chamber. read more

Had carefully searched for a nice place in Cartagena and we found Casa Maria. We were a family and we rented the whole place to ourselves. It was absolutely wonderful. The whole place is very nice and clean. It just felt like we were at home. We had fun at the nice indoor pool and the common rooms were perfectly comfortable. The staff were extremely nice, loved them all.

My wife and I celebrated our fifteenth wedding anniversary her in Casa Maria and we were never disappointed. The place is nice with beautiful interior and clean common rooms. There is a nice mini pool where we usually stay. Our room was very nice, with comfortable bed and an absolutely spotless bathroom. The staff were great as well. Very helpful especially with tourist information. We constantly bombarded them with questions and they always replied with a smile. Great team of people there! All in all, a perfect place to spend a great holiday.

Rented the whole house for 3 nights with a group of 11 friends. The house is perfect for large groups - we hung out at the pool, bought food and grilled it at the rooftop, and blasted music through speakers wired throughout the whole house. Location in Cartagena is great and the staff was super friendly - cooked breakfast every day and helped us with our groceries.
