Villa de Leyva is only 3 hours by road from Bogota and 1hour from Tunja. If you are in Bogota go to the north, the last station of transmilenio called "Portal del Norte" in front of the EXITO shop. Buses run regularly to Tunja (try to take big buses "Libertadores or Concord"). Cost: $19.000/ two hours.
From Tunja to Villa de Leyva or vice versa, minibuses run every 15 minutes all day, from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. Cost: $6.000/one hour.
When you arrive at the Villa de Leyva's bus terminal take a taxi directly to the hostel, for $5.000 and we will reimburse the cost when you check out.
Address: Avenida Carrera 10 No. 21 - Finca Renacer. Just 20minutes walk from the main square. Nice and very safe, pass in front of the entrance of the Militar Base, we are in the next corner where is a small shop, only 80 meters ahead.

For backpackers but with great facilities. A bit far from de center of Villa de Leyva (aprox 20min walking). Clean. Hot shower. In the nature....will find bugs and mosquitoes. Will go back again for the great value for money.

We had a lovely room facing the courtyard and hammocks (which I made use of). The rooms are cleaned everyday which makes it feel very welcoming when you return from a strenuous walk tired and a little muddy. The staff were helpful and coped with our poor Spanish. They don't have laundry facilities for the guests so you need to use the laundromat in town about 1km away. I had some trouble with the wifi so i had more time enjoying the view. Online booking was really easy. I would highly recommend this hostel.
