Cheap prices, the most budget hostel of La Fortuna. Great value, friendly and international backpacker vibes. Accommodation here is like a gift. There is no minihostels discount, it is so cheap 10% is not even 1 dollar.

Gringo Pete's was great! It's very cute and clean and easy to function in. NIcely equipped kitchen. had a washer and line to dry clothes. felt safe. A pit to bbq. great offers on surrounding tours and helpful with information. If you're nice and courteous the staff will be friendly and courteous back. It's a great space for a great price. I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else and will definitely go back if I revisit La Fortuna!

My wife and I stayed at Gringo Pete's Too because it offered 3 to a room with private bath and we were traveling with 4 teenagers. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place. We wanted to give the kids a "hostel" experience so they would know what to look for on their own travels around the world. Great view, close to great Sodas (eateries) and shopping.
