Once a family residence, we have renovated this beautiful and spacious home into a modern 14-bedroom hostel, while maintaining the integrity and charm of its original colonial style. The house was built in 1944 by the late architect Daniel Ramos Correa, who has made many significant architectural contributions to Mendoza, including participation in the city's main square, Plaza Independencia, and the Frank Romero Day Ampitheater, where the National Grape Harvest (Vendimia) Celebration is held annually. read more

Our address is Necochea st. 740--CIUDAD, in downtown Mendoza. You can walk here from the bus terminal in about 20 minutes-or you can cab-it in about 7 (it should cost about 10 or 15 pesos). Once you arrive in Mendoza, get yourself a map. On this map of Mendoza, locate the main square-Plaza Independencia-then locate the four smaller squares which surround it. We are œ a block west of one of these squares-Plaza Chile. Between Perú st. and Belgrano st. On Necochea st. 740 We're directly across the street from a huge supermarket and two buildings away from the Italian Consulate. Look for the big yellow house! We hope to see you soon! Happy and safe travels!!!

Hostel Alamo is a good choice to be in Mendoza. Good location, good bed, good bath, chill hostel. But the breakfast could be better.

After having a rough time in santiago de chile, i was very pleased to get to hostel that welcomed me in such a friendly way as Alamo did. my friend got sick and couldnt join me, but i just had to pay for my stay (i cancelled her room 2 days before). The patio is beautyfull and calm, you can make an Assado or just have a bottle of wine (obviosly delicios as we are in a wineregend :)). travelling alone was not a problem at all, as i got in contact with other people the same day and could join them on a wine and bike tour in maipu (which you absolutly have to do while you are there),but you can also have your peace if you want to.the beds are super comfi and i slept like a baby.I was very greatfull to meet so many friendly people here, staff and guests and would absolutly stay here again. muchisimas gracias por todo chicos!
