The Hostel

Who we are

In September 2008, three friends named Gustavo, Cristian and Willy began building La Casa de Mhayl Hostel. The hostel was built on a house with a modern construction and architecture of just 12 years old, installed in the heart of the city of Mendoza.

When they acquired the house there was a dog (of the Great Dane breed) named Mhayl, thus creating the name of the hostel: La Casa de Mhayl Hostel.

La Casa de Mhayl Hostel is a place for all kinds of people but especially those that love adrenaline and have a passion for speed, adventure and risk. We would love to show you another way to experience Mendoza, by offering you all the extreme and fun excursions and activities for you to enjoy. Altogether we are sure you will have an unforgettable experience.

With a kind, safe, pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, with easygoing and helpful staff we think you would love your stay here. Our hostel has large air conditioned rooms, comfortable beds, shared kitchen, dinning room, TV room, a large green private garden and swimming pool (heated in winter) with bar and a lot more!

Providing the best service and friendly environment, we are sure that La Casa de Mhayl Hostel will be the home that you will always want to return to.

The people who visits us

Everybody is welcome at our Hostel especially backpackers, adventurers, snowboarders, skiers, rafters, kayakers, climbers, parachutist, paragliders, surfers, windsurfers, bikers, skaters, rollerbladers, longboarders, freeborders, kite surfers, divers, bungee jumpers, wakeboarders and anyone with a sense of adventure. We are also happy to accommodate and encourage anyone who wants to try an adventure based activity for the first time. Just ask our helpful staff and we will let you know what is available.

All our rooms are air-conditioned and heated in the winter and sleep either 6 people. All with private bathroom.

The following services are not included but you can purchase them: alcohol from the bar, on site chef preparing reasonably priced home cooked meals, washing machines, Spanish classes, telephone taxi service, Friday roast and a coffee machine.

Location

Our Hostel is situated in the center of Mendoza city, four blocks from the principal avenue “General San Martín”, three blocks and an easy walk from the bus station, eight blocks from Plaza Independencia (the main square of Mendoza) and 15 minutes from the airport by taxi.

Hostel rules

• Welcome to La Casa de Mhayl Hostel, the only Hostel of extreme sports
• You must sign this contract which states that the hostel is not responsible for loss, theft, larceny or any such event happens to your personal property. For that, you will be given a key to your Personal Locker where you must keep all your belongings.
• The Hostel does not own a copy of the key to your Personal Locker delivered to him, if you lose must pay the $ 50 AR for the loss thereof.
• At the time of your Check Out, will hand the key to your Personal Locker was given at the time of Check-In.
• If you break any element of the Hostel or misuse of facilities, must pay the replacement immediately.
• Do the Check-in when you arrive to the hostel, presenting passport, ID or any identity document, otherwise we can´t admit you here.
• The Check-out is at 12 a.m.
• Breakfast from 7a.m. to 10a.m.
• Use the bathroom that corresponds to your room.
• Wash everything that you use in the kitchen.
• Your room has air conditioning and heating, keep the door closed.
• Don´t throw away hygienic paper to the toilet.
• Have respect for those that are sleeping.
• Don´t smoke in close places.
• The people that isn´t sleeping in the Hostel can´t get into the rooms.
• Ask the manager before using the washing machine, if you want to use it.
• For more security, we can take you to the ATM by car or walking with Mhayl.
• Pay the excursions before doing it.
• Don´t make the people that work in the Hostel feeling uncomfortable.
• If someone doesn´t obey the rules, we have to take him out of the Hostel. In case that someone causes unkind problems, we will be forced to call the police.
