Me girlfriend and I stayed there for 7 days in october 2006 and we had a fantastic experience. The people there are so friendly and they have a cute labrador called Jujuy, named after a city in nothern Argentina. The rooms are nice a bit dark but to the price its a bargain. Go to Cordoba and stay at Palenque

Staff was very friendly to us. Great typical argentinian empanada night. Equiped kitchen and safe enviroment. The place is a bit old but authentic. No doubt it fits into the MiniHostels standards.

I really love the feel of Palenque, the hostel is really lovely as well as the folks working in it! And they have a great kitchen and common area.

My one request...more showers! Only 2 for the entire hostel. Other than that I had a great time, super nice people at Palenque.

Good place to go to meet other travellers. Especially on the weekends, people are hanging out in the hostel before going out. Lots of great bars right near the hostel.
