Very, very convenient location, just blocks from Av. 9 de Julio and Av. de Mayo, the most important streets in the center. If you are brave enough to take the bus from the airport (No. 86) it drops you right at their front door!

Stay here if you want to be in the most exciting part of Buenos Aires. Just steps away from the Obelisco and the widest avenue in the world (well, not really, but it is huge!). Easy access to subway and busses makes navigating the city a breeze.

Helpful staff are very friendly. Only complaint is that the music from the cafe can be a bit loud sometimes, but overall an excellent place.

Met interesting people here! The location is really fantastic, close to subways and buses and the center of everything, the plaza de mayo! Service was also excellent, the staff were nice and helpful with advice and stuff.

Lovely hostel in a beautiful old, colonial building with impressive design and architecture. Shared rooms and private suites are spacious and all include cable TV, air conditioning or fans and heat.

Sudamerika is a great place to stay for both first-timers to BA as well as the seasoned visitor. They can hook you up with tango lessons, football tickets and much more. Plus, they have a restaurant and bar right in the hostel. Also, if you stay for 3 nights or more, they include a free MiniHostels membership card in the price of the rooms.

A really well placed hostel to begin your exploration of BA, the obelisk is just around the corner and you are really close to the underground. The hostel is clean and well managed. It can get noisy, someone banged on a door for 30 minutes one night and there is a night club just down the street which empties at about 5am and the people keep the party going in the street. With a pair of ear plugs this is a great hostel!

This is my second time staying here, which says a lot already. This is not a party hostel. Chill and for couples. Rooms are always warm, bathrooms are clean (and the bathroom floors are not freezing like the floors of some hostels, they are warm). I stayed in room 102 last time which was quiet at night. This time I'm in room 103 which must be adjacent to a club so it was super noisy at night so it would bother a light sleeper. Restaurant makes great steak too!

ON THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY THERE IS A CLUB BY THE SIDE OF THE HOSTEL. I couldn't sleep one night because of that, so if u don't sleep like a rock, I REALLY don't recommend it on those days of the week. The staff were ok, the location is good, very central. is a hostel trying to be a hotel,( or just don't have quality anymore to be one). the breakfast was really low, just two little breads(medialunas= croissant) , an artificial juice and the option of milk/coffee/tea. the bathrooms(shared) wasn't really clean, and the walls of the bedroom very dirt.. the room we saw with private bath was a little depressing. well, if u care JUST with location is ok for u. I changed hostels after 4 nights and got another one much better for the same price.

The Staff is very good, but the greatest place of city is far from downtown and you must take a taxi. If you need sleep you'll have a problem because all nights a neighbor makes party.

Very clean and quite. Great for families and older people. Poor breakfast, no kitchen facilities, so no possibilities to cook your own food.

Book through Minihostel it{s cheaper than walk-in price ! Some backpacking luxuries like a very central location, TV in rooms, free internet and wifi, medialunas for breakfast, very hot water, very clean bathrooms and rooms (they even make your bed during the day!). But all rooms are around a central patio which gets noisy if anyone is partying there (didn{t seem much like a party hostel when i was there though...). AND there is a disco club downstairs which make it impossible to sleep before 5am in the weekend... Nice friendly staff, but their activities and transfers are overpriced, you d better shop around. Overall pretty good during the week.
