I just want to recommend you an hostel in Rio. The Art hostel Rio rua silveira Martins,135. A friendly place with artists. Rooms decorated with musicians' names. Hall decorated with Mauricio Theo's pintures and grafs... They organise a Jazz concerts the 26 of July 2008. Let's go and appreciate.

Another great hostel in Rio is Rio Hostel http://www.riohostel.com/
They actually have two locations, one in Ipanema and the other in Santa Teresa. You won´t go wrong with either one, I highly recommend them both!
