Yanapuma is located in Quito's Mariscal district, with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. We are focused not just on Spanish classes, but on making the entire learning experience as fun, memorable and effective as possible. Friendly and outgoing staff, teachers who are involved in the operation of the school, and a sincere effort to treat all of our staff and teachers as part of a family create a learning environment that we believe is unmatched by any other school in Quito.

Yanapuma Spanish School offers a variety of activities for our students, including free conversation sessions, weekend and weekday excursions, cooking classes, optional salsa classes, and options to study in small Ecuadorian communities or travel with your teacher. Our school emphasizes Ecuadorian culture, history and tradition in all of our classes.

Special programs include a new Medical Spanish Program, which includes a special text and an internship/volunteer position in an Ecuadorian hospital after Spanish classes. All of our programs are customizable to the needs and desires of the student, both in terms of materials used and teaching methods. A wide range of volunteer options are available for those who wish to volunteer in Ecuador either during their Spanish program or after.

All accommodation options are available, but we strongly recommend a homestay with an Ecuadorian family while studying Spanish. This provides much more exposure to the language and more rapid learning, while students can experience life with an Ecuadorian family. However, we can also book hostels or hotels if the student prefers.
