El Viejo y el Mar

El viejo y el Mar is a small fisherman's restaurant located in Punta del Diablo, in Rocha, Uruguay, about 30 minutes from the brazilian border.

Truly this is a magical place. Runned by an old fisherman called "Ernesto" This place has the best fish in the village and the vibes are just unbelievebale. With live music and candle light, this is one of the best places I have been at during my stay in Uruguay. If you go backpacking in Punta del diablo, I also recommend the mini hostel called el diablo tranquilo.
